Restrictive v/s Routine episiotomy in Primigravida

Introduction: Episiotomy is the surgical enlargement of vaginal orifice by an incision on perineum during last part second stage labour or delivery. most common procedure experienced women. In near past there were many studies pointed out its disadvantages like more post-delivery pain, wound complications and dyspareunia. So, this study was done to compare use restrictive episiotomy routine in primigravidae undergoing birth. Aims objectives: To assess effects comparison with primigravida birth terms - (1) No. episiotomies can be avoided (2) Perineal tear (3) Blood loss (4) Hematoma & Healing (5) Faecal urinary incontinence (6) Dyspareunia. Material methods: This descriptive analytic conducted Department Obstetrics Gynecology, Surat municipal institute medical education research (SMIMER), from January 2017 June 2019 sample size 148 patients.
